If The Shoe Fits competition
Bexleyheath Broadway Shopping Centre recently hosted an “If The Shoe Fits” competition, where customers were invited to select from a wall of 100 boxes of shoes at random. If the shoe fit, the customer got to keep the shoes and all of the remaining shoes from the competition were kindly donated to Bexley Women’s Aid to distribute to the women in the refuge. We would like to give a huge thank you to the Centre Marketing Manager, Christine Barton for organising this and for all of her support towards our charity. We regret to say that are no longer taking clothes donations due to our very limited storage facilities. However, if you do find yourself with lots of unwanted clothes while updating your wardrobe for the new season, why not take your bags to your local clothes recycling shops who will pay you for your donation and donate the money to BWA!
As the current financial year closes and another begins, we at Bexley Women’s Aid are brainstorming ways to raise money for our women in refuge and we actively encourage the members of our community to get involved in any way they can. One way could be running events with you friends. Invite your girlfriends over for an afternoon tea fundraiser; run a bake sale and donate the funds to BWA; organise a sponsored silence. There are loads of fun ways to fundraise! If you would like to run an event to raise money for Bexley Women’s Aid, then please do give us a call on 020 8301 1536.
